This project required me to work with a group of 4 other designers to develop a start up business. Our company, Ground up Movement, aims to reduce the number of homeless people sleeping outside on the streets. We plan to achieve this by purchasing and refurbishing abandoned warehouses into a complex of micro homes for our clients, making use of previously wasted space and creating a small community within it. Our clients are the citizens of Brisbane who are affected by homelessness. Ground Up Movement will aim to better improve each of our clients quality of life, bring back a sense of community, comfort and familiarity and dignity to those in need.
